What I Can Do For You
I help leaders of the homelessness and housing sector and their teams go from being frazzled to focused.

I help you to
Find A Way.

That's what I do.
Areas of Expertise
Overcoming a sense of stagnation
Do you feel stuck? Are you experiencing nagging dissatisfaction? Where is your sense of purpose or direction? Are things in life just not going the way you expected? How is your confidence? Do you struggle with getting things done?
A coaching conversation gives you the luxury of thinking time. It allows you to unveil what is going on inside your mind. There is no reason to hold back! A coaching conversation helps to unlock 'from within yourself' the solutions to your own dilemmas.

You will surprise yourself with what comes up. What reveals itself can help you to: become more focussed; make choices on issues which hitherto have left you undecided; take uncomfortable action; lay to rest the things that have been eating you up inside.

Coaching can help you move from a state of hopelessness to one of hopefulness - a positive, happy and healthy state.

Getting unstuck can be transformational for:

-
Your relationships
-
Your health and happiness
-
Your work and your career
-
Your priorities, aspirations and what really matters to you

It is time to move onwards and forwards.

Prices start at £60 for one 1:1 coaching session for self-financing individuals.

You may get what you need from a single session working through a specific issue ie lazer-focused coaching. Equally, you may wish to commit to a longer term package that we agree together and which is bespoke to your particular goals and challenges.

My work as the
'Homelessness Sector Coach'
I help overstretched leaders in the housing and homelessness sector and their teams to achieve a healthy work-life balance so that they can avoid burnout.
You do amazing work! Sometimes that is hard to recognise when the work is so relentless. The daily fire-fighting can give you a feeling of impotence. The sector strives to be solution-focused and outcome-driven yet the harsh reality of housing crisis can cloud everything. It is no wonder that you can start to feel frazzled. 'Feeling frazzled' can soon become a chronic problem if not properly managed. Are you ready for a reset?

With a deep appreciation for this highly pressurised sector, which is full of great people, I can empathise with the issues most on your mind. You know. The ones that can wake you up at night. Having spent half my career as the CEO of a homelessness charity, I understand the issues that lead to burnout. The good news is that burnout is avoidable.

The homelessness and housing sector talks avidly about a client-centred approach. Sometimes we are not so good at applying the same approach to the people that matter most and who are getting the work done: ourselves.

This is where I can help. My offer is time well spent with you or team members that can benefit from coaching. We partner together in conversation and set out to achieve what is achievable: a healthy work-life balance so that you quickly begin to see the benefits from both a personal and professional perspective.

So if you are ready to embark on a discovery journey which can lead to better sleep, more energy, more focus, healthier relationships, more patience, more confidence and happiness, do get in touch. The benefits of coaching can be immeasurable.

Prices start from £75 for a 1:1 coaching session

If you approach your employer, they will commonly pay for a coaching package - typically six sessions. Many recognise the value of coaching as part as your ongoing personal development and in the same way that they send you on training courses. I also 'staircase' my fees to make coaching accessible to organisations of all sizes.

Certified Life Coach

I trained and qualified with Animas Centre for Coaching which is accredited by the Association for Coaching and the International Coaching Federation.

My journey into the coaching profession stems from a desire to support the people who work in the housing and homelessness sector. We are in the midst of a housing crisis. To help others, it makes sense for you to be in a good place yourself! The benefits of coaching helps you to manage the stress, make good decisions, be nice to be around and crack on with the job at hand.

My own career has taken me from policing to teaching and sports therapy, before embarking on a long-standing vocation as the CEO for a homeless charity where I worked for 18 years. My expertise was in trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing, skillsets which helped when working alongside individuals who wished to break the cycle of homelessness permanently. By heading up and growing the charity, I also have a deep and clear understanding of what it takes to be in a management and leadership role. All the while being focused on and dedicated to raising a family.
I apply what I have learned through life to my coaching style. I am how I coach!

Today I combine Life Coaching with some part-time work in the field of mental health plus various volunteering pursuits. I am the proud parent of three children. I enjoy participating in a range of activities and interests. Overall, this gives me the mix of routine and spontaneity that I desire.

I am LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity affirming and operate from an anti-oppressive stance. I identify as a cis-gender, heterosexual man who is committed to maintaining an inclusive safe space for all who wish to benefit from the power of a coaching conversation.
